Darjeeling, 27th September: On the occasion of World Tourism Day, Darjeeling MP Raju Bista urged the people to pledge to work towards promoting sustainable tourism.

Since 1980, the United Nations World Tourism Organization has celebrated World Tourism Day as international observances on September 27.
The theme of 2020 edition of World Tourism Day is “Tourism and Rural Development” to celebrate the unique role that tourism plays in providing opportunities outside of big cities and preserving cultural and natural heritage all around the world.
