Naxalbari, 07th December: The work for providing drinking water in Sebdella Jote of Hathighisa in Naxalbari is currently underway following instructions of the Chief Minister (CM) Mamata Banerjee. Earlier on Wednesday, the CM instructed after landing at Bagdogra airport. Subsequently, the SMC provided water tanks to the village.
As per reports, the residents of the village had approached the court regarding the issues of drinking water. Later, following the instructions of Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay in the matter of public interest, the work on the pipeline to supply water commenced in full swing, intending to provide water to the village by January. The recent development under the initiative of the Public Health Department elated the locals.
In this regard, the locals stated that currently, they are using the water provided through tanks. They further expressed their gratitude to the CM for the development.
