Rajganj, 24th March: A worker meeting was held in support of Trinamool Congress candidate Swapna Barman ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, with senior leader Khageswar Roy taking the lead in strengthening the organisation in the Rajganj constituency.
The meeting was organised at the residence of the outgoing MLA on Tuesday morning and was attended by members of various block committees, regional committees, and party workers and supporters. Discussions primarily focused on organisational strategies and campaign planning for the elections.
Speaking on the occasion, Roy said the meeting was convened following instructions from Trinamool Congress national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee, who had called him and directed him to hold discussions with workers in support of candidate Swapna Barman.
Along with extending support to the candidate, detailed discussions were also held regarding the upcoming campaign meeting of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Plans were chalked out on how to increase the presence of party workers and supporters and intensify campaign efforts around the event.
