Rajganj, 28th October: A tragic incident unfolded at a factory in Rajganj’s Biharuhat, where a worker‘s hanging body was found. The deceased has been identified as Sanjay Gop, a resident of Bankura district.
According to reports, there is a hatchery, that produces chicks from poultry eggs, in the Biharuhat area of Sannyasikata, where approximately 60 workers work. On Friday, the hanging body of the worker was recovered from the factory at around 8 p.m.
Upon receiving the news, a huge crowd of locals gathered. The locals accused the labor-in-charge of the factory of misbehavior with the workers. In addition, they demanded a detailed investigation of the incident.
Meanwhile, the accountant of the factory, Priyajit Roy, stated that Sanjay was working in night shift yesterday. Prior to that, he was sleeping in the factory room. Later, when he was called to duty at around 8 p.m., his lifeless body was spotted by his co-workers.
In this regard, Rajganj police sources revealed that the hanging body was recovered from the hatchery in the said area. The locals complained that the labor-in-charge behaved inappropriately with the workers. Consequently, he was detained by the authorities. Furthermore, a case will be registered upon receiving a written complaint from the family.
