Woman’s half-burnt body found in South Dinajpur

South Dinajpur, 06th January: A half-burnt body of a woman was recovered in South Dinajpur. On Monday morning, the local people sighted the body of the woman under the enclosed culvert in a vacant field of Safanagar, Kumarganj police station. The incident was immediately reported to the police. As maximum parts of the body are burnt, the deceased has not been identified yet.
Locals speculate that the woman was burnt after she was raped under the culvert. Police recovered the body and sent it for postmortem and are investigating into the matter.
