Siliguri, 03rd July: A horrifying collision between a city auto and a school bus claimed the life of a woman on Wednesday near Hospital More in Siliguri. The deceased woman has been identified as Rakhi Biswas Roy, a resident of Rabindra Nagar.
As per details gathered, the city auto veered off the road and hit the woman on the footpath as a result of the impact of the collision with the bus. Subsequently, the gravely injured woman was transported to the Siliguri District Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
The deceased woman was the mother of a three-year-old. Reportedly, she had ventured out to the market with her sister for her forthcoming housewarming ceremony when she encountered the tragic accident.
Meanwhile, investigations revealed that the school bus had rear-ended the city auto. The police are engaged in a further investigation of the entire incident.
