Siliguri, 06th December: A woman post office employee tragically lost her life after being hit by a tractor in the Milanpally area of Siliguri. The deceased has been identified as Deborita Das, a resident of Arabinda Pally in Siliguri.
According to reports, Deborita was returning home after work when the incident occurred. A tractor travelling from behind struck her leading to a severe impact. She was rushed to Siliguri District Hospital for treatment; however, she succumbed to her injuries during her treatment. Following the incident, the police seized the tractor and arrested the driver, Pradeep Munda.
On Friday, he was presented before the Siliguri Court. Deborita had been working at the post office for the past 9 years. Her sudden death has left her family in deep mourning. After the post-mortem at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, Deborita’s body will be handed over to her family for the final rites.
