Siliguri, 08th November: The mysterious death of a young woman identified as Pushpa Chhetri in Bhanu Nagar area of Siliguri, has sparked concern in the area. Pushpa Chhetri, had been residing in a rented house in Bhanu Nagar.
According to reports, two individuals, including a woman, visited Pushpa’s residence on Friday afternoon, only to find her lifeless body with her throat slit. Bhaktinagar police station was immediately notified of the incident.
Upon receiving the information, the IC of Bhaktinagar police station and other personnel arrived at the scene and recovered the body, which was then sent for an autopsy. Local sources revealed that Pushpa had been working in Siliguri and living in her rented house in Bhanu Nagar for the past few months.
The exact cause of her death remains unclear, though initial police suspicions point toward murder. Bhaktinagar police station has launched an investigation into the case.
