Siliguri, 07th August: A tragic accident occurred near Cosmos Mall on Sevoke Road in Siliguri, where a woman lost her life after being struck by an army vehicle. The deceased has been identified as Kalpana Barman, a resident of Netaji Nagar under Bhakti Nagar Police Station.
Reports indicate that Kalpana Barman was riding her bicycle when the collision took place. The accident caused a temporary traffic jam in the area. Upon receiving the news, officers from Bhakti Nagar police station arrived at the scene, recovered the body, and sent it to the district hospital for further procedures.
The family members of the deceased also reached the scene shortly after being informed of the incident. The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
