Rajganj, 28th April: 22-year-old Jaba Roy was electrocuted to death at a broiler farm of Fulbari-02 Gram Panchayat area, on Wednesday.
According to local sources, Prashant Roy of Nawapara runs a broiler poultry farm and encloses his land with electric fences. Allegedly, Prashant’s wife Jaba went to the farm this morning for some work and accidentally came in contact with the said fences. She was later rescued and taken to a private hospital in Fulbari, where doctors declared her dead.
In this regard, the head of the gram panchayat Dilip Roy said that the family used to enclose the broiler chicken farm with electric wire every night. The police recovered the body and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for postmortem. Police have started the investigation regarding the incident.
