Kharibari, 09th December: Kharibari police arrested a woman drug dealer from her residence near the India-Nepal border in Panitanki, seizing 306 grams of brown sugar hidden in the toilet sub-tank. The accused has been identified as Sadika Khatun.
According to sources, acting on a secret tip-off late at night, Kharibari police conducted a raid at Sadika Khatun’s house in the Gondogol area of Panitanki. During the operation, three packets containing a total of 306 grams of brown sugar were recovered from the toilet sub-tank.
The woman has been booked under the NDPS Act. Police officials stated that she had been involved in drug trafficking for a long time. The accused will be produced before the Siliguri Sub-Divisional Court on Tuesday.
Investigations are ongoing, and police have begun searching for other individuals involved in the case.
