Siliguri, 08th January: In a tragic incident, a woman died in a road accident in the Eastern Bypass area on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Runa Sinha, a resident of the Fakdai Bari Bazar area.
Reportedly, Runa Sinha, along with her husband Niranjan Sinha, were heading towards Baneshwar More from Ashighar More. At that time, Runa fell and came under the wheels of the truck. While she was trampled to death, her husband suffered severe injuries in the incident.
The locals rescued him and rushed him to Siliguri District Hospital. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
