Siliguri, 01st October: Based on a tip-off, the Pradhan Nagar police, on Wednesday night, launched an operation at the Siliguri Junction area and arrested a woman along with brown sugar.
The arrested accused has been identified as Morjina Begum, a resident of Domkal police station in Murshidabad. Upon searching her bag, the police recovered 600 grams of brown sugar worth lakhs of rupees.
The arrested woman will be produced before the Siliguri court today. Police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
