Siliguri, 06th February: Winter chill made a brief return to Siliguri as dense fog covered the city and its surrounding areas early Friday morning. Despite the season nearing its end, the sudden weather change brought back a cold and misty atmosphere across the region.
Thick fog was reported in Siliguri and nearby areas including Fulbari and Ambari, significantly reducing visibility. In several locations, visibility dropped to just a few metres, making it difficult to see the road ahead.
Due to the poor visibility, both small and large vehicles were seen moving slowly and cautiously. Many vehicles were driven with headlights switched on to avoid mishaps. The prevailing fog and cold conditions once again brought a wintry feel to daily life in the city.
