Alipurduar, 19th May: In a tragic incident, the carcass of a full-grown elephant was found in the Khairbari area of Madarihat, near Jaldapara National Park, on Sunday morning.
Locals stumbled upon the elephant’s carcass in the Baluadhura area of Khairbari. Upon receiving the report, forest officials promptly arrived at the scene to assess the situation. However, the cause of the elephant’s death remains undetermined.
Meanwhile, the forest department has indicated conducting a detailed investigation to uncover the reason behind the elephant’s death.
