News Desk: On Sunday, West Bengal’s Santiniketan was included in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage list during the 45th Session of the World Heritage Committee in Saudi Arabia. The announcement was made by UNESCO through a social media post on X (formerly Twitter).
Following the inclusion, Santiniketan, often referred to as the ‘Adobe of Peace’, became India’s 41st World Heritage Site to join the UNESCO list. In this regard, Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi called the achievement a proud moment for all Indians as Santiniketan is an embodiment of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore’s vision and India’s rich cultural heritage.
