Siliguri, 08th May: In the recent Kudo National Tournament held from the 1st to 6th of May at Netaji Subhash Military School, Pune, West Bengal state secured the fourth position by winning 10 gold medals. Today, the medal winners received a grand welcome at Siliguri.
Notably, contestants from different states participated in the tournament. Gujarat secured the first position, followed by Rajasthan and Maharashtra in second and third respectively. West Bengal team comprised of 70 participants, who won a total of 26 medals. Furthermore, the top ten contestants will participate in the International Kudo Tournament organized by Akshay Kumar in the coming days.
Speaking in this regard, Sahdev Barman, Joint Secretary of Kudo International Federation of India and President, of West Bengal, said that this is the first instance in his life that 26 medals have been bagged by West Bengal. Further, he acknowledged the important role played by parents in this regard. Continuing in this regard, he stated that the competitors are excited to participate in the International Kudo Tournament in the coming days.
