Siliguri, 02nd August: The West Bengal Nurses Association protested against the alleged assault and physical abuse of a nursing worker in Bankura district and demanded the immediate arrest of the culprits.
On Monday, the West Bengal Nurses Association held a protest programme at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. Besides, Black Day was observed on behalf of the organization.
The organization’s Darjeeling district secretary Kalpana Bhowmik said that miscreants attacked a nursing worker in the Shimlapal block of Bankura on July 28. The worker is currently undergoing treatment and is in critical condition. She demanded immediate arrest and exemplary punishment against those involved in the incident.
