The West Bengal government, on Wednesday, extended restrictions across the state till July 30 in view of the COVID-19 situation. As per the revised orders, the state will remain locked until July 30. However, the following relaxations will be allowed:
- All shops & markets may remain open as per usual operational hours
- All local trains are suspended till July 30.
- Metro rail to operate 5 days a week with 50% seating capacity, suspended on Saturday-Sunday.
- Not more than 50 people at weddings and 20 at funerals allowed.
- All cinema halls, spa and swimming pools shall continue to remain closed. However, swimming pools exclusively for routine practice of state, national and international level swimmers may remain open from 6 am -10 am.
- Banks shall remain open from 10 am-3 pm.
- Gyms to be open from 6 am to 10 am and 4 pm to 8 pm with 50 percent capacity.
