Siliguri, 23rd March: During a press conference at the Siliguri Journalists Club on Tuesday, the Tamang Youth Association extended their support to the candidates fielded by the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha Binay Tamang faction for the 2021 assembly elections.
The meeting was attended by association president Sonam Wangdi Tamang, general secretary Subodh Lama and other activists. They stated that the party’s slogan ‘Naya Soch Naya Vichar’ gives assurance of restoring peace in Darjeeling hills. Therefore, in the interest of the development of the hill, the Tamang Youth Association will vote for the three candidates who have been announced on behalf of GJM Binay faction.
It has been learned that the said association had organized a meeting in this concern at Pankhabari under the Kurseong sub-division on March 17.
