Siliguri, 26th March: Ashok Bhattacharya, the Left candidate of the Sanjukta Morcha (CPIM-Congress-ISF), campaigned in Ward No. 24 of Siliguri, on Friday. He is hopeful that he will get the maximum votes from the ward.
It is to be noted that, Shankar Ghosh, the co-ordinator of Ward No. 24, has recently joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). However, Ashok Bhattacharya claimed that the common people support CPI(M) even though the ward coordinator has joined another party.
