Siliguri, 31st January: A devastating fire occurred in the Telipara area near Siliguri’s Eastern Bypass on Thursday night. The fire reportedly originated at a warehouse and damaged valuables worth crores.
Local sources revealed that they were alarmed by the fire at night and immediately reported the incident to the fire department and the Ashighar Outpost. Meanwhile, two fire engines rushed to the scene and initiated the dousing operations. However, due to the uncontrollable nature of the blaze, two more fire engines were deployed at the scene.
After about 5-6 hours of valiant firefighting, the blaze was brought under control. The incident left a devastating impact, as the entire warehouse burned down. The warehouse’s authorities confirmed damage worth crores. At present, the entire incident is under further investigation.
