Ward Utsav ‘Navodaya’ inaugurated in Siliguri’s Ward No. 01

Siliguri, 19th January: Ward Utsav ‘Navodaya’ was inaugurated in Siliguri Municipal Corporation’s Ward No. 01 with a grand rally on Monday. The rally began from the Siliguri Junction area and concluded after covering the entire ward, marking the formal launch of the Utsav.


Ward Councillor Sanjay Pathak said that the Ward Utsav started on January 19 and will continue till January 30. He stated that the objective of the Utsav is to promote unity and brotherhood beyond caste and religion, conveying a message of harmony among Hindu, Muslim, Sikh and Christian communities.

The inaugural programme was attended by Siliguri Municipal Corporation Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, Chairman Pratul Chakraborty, Members of Mayor-in-Council, other councillors, and local residents.


Several cultural, social and community-oriented programmes will be organised during the Ward Utsav, with active participation from residents of Ward No. 01.
