War of words intensifies between Ashok Bhattacharya-Shankar Ghosh, after the latter’s exit from party

Siliguri, 13th March: A day after the unforeseen exit of Shankar Ghosh from the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI (M)) and joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Left leader Ashok Bhattacharya made some serious allegations against Ghosh.

Reportedly, CPI(M) leader Ashok Bhattacharya reached Ward No. 29 of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation to campaign for his party in view of the upcoming assembly polls. During his visit, he interacted with the common people of the ward and heard out their grievances.

Addressing the media, Bhattacharya spoke on the exit of Shankar Ghosh from the party. While the duo was always spotted together on numerous occasions before, Bhattacharya accused Ghosh of leaking confidential information of the party. He called Ghosh a “traitor” and claimed he always used to work against the party.

It is to recall, Shankar Ghosh after joining the BJP on Friday alleged that a few leaders in his former party did not allow the younger generation to work and speak. As the assembly election draws nearer, the war of words intensifies between the oppositions.
