Gajoldoba, 16th October: A voluntary organization in Siliguri distributed new clothes to the people ahead of Durga Puja in the Teesta River bank area in Gajoldoba.
According to reports, on Monday, new clothes were distributed to around a hundred people in the Milan Pally area adjacent to Gajoldoba of Rajganj block. The people were elated after receiving new clothes prior to Durgotsav.
Speaking in this regard, the President of the non-profit organisation Prallad Nandi stated that the relentless rainfall in Sikkim has affected several individuals in the hills, including the Teesta River bank areas of Gajoldoba. He added that in view of the upcoming Durga Puja, a clothes distribution program has been organized to assist the affected residents.
