Siliguri, 19th January: 24th Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organized by Siliguri Suryanagar Samaj-kalyan Sanstha. A grand procession was taken out today from opposite Baghajatin Maidan in Siliguri and circumambulated various routes of the city by the organization with the message of ‘Rakter Janya Hato’.
The Deputy Mayor of SMC Ranjan Sarkar, members of Siliguri Suryanagar Samaj Kalyan Sanstha, members of various voluntary organizations, and NCC of the city participated in the said procession. The organization’s general secretary Ashish Brahm said that they have been organizing voluntary blood donation camps in mobile vans for the last 23 years and this year marks the 24th year of the Voluntary Blood Donation Camp. The said blood donation camp will be conducted till 26th January not only in Siliguri but also in various districts of North Bengal.
