Siliguri, 15th June: The undercover cops of Pradhan Nagar police station under the Siliguri Metropolitan Police, achieved a significant success by recovering a stolen vehicle within four hours of its theft. The incident occurred on June 12, when a group of miscreants made off with a parked Bolero vehicle from the Netaji Colony area, under the jurisdiction of Pradhan Nagar police station. Promptly responding to the situation, the owner of the stolen vehicle, Sanjit Kumar Gupta, lodged a complaint at the police station on the same day.
Based on the filed complaint, the investigating police officers meticulously carried out their inquiries, gathering crucial information from CCTV footage. During the course of the investigation, news surfaced regarding the presence of the stolen vehicle in Dalkhola. It was revealed that the miscreants had altered the number plate of the vehicle in an attempt to deceive law enforcement authorities. Furthermore, they had intended to sell the vehicle in Bihar. However, the police thwarted their plans, causing the culprits to flee upon discovering the police’s approach. Nevertheless, the vehicle was successfully recovered.
Additionally, the police obtained several photographs of the miscreants during the operation, which will aid in their search for the perpetrators. Following the necessary legal procedures, the vehicle was returned to its rightful owner today.
