Siliguri, 13th October: With Durga Puja just around the corner, several vendors from Siliguri as well as neighbouring areas, are being spotted selling a variety of dolls along the roadside.
Reportedly, the dolls are being brought in the city from Kolkata. The price of the beautiful dolls decorated with sparkly Bindis on the forehead, matching necklace and earring set starts from Rs 150.
Sales are also going well, said Haripara Sarkar, a businessman. He added that about 20-25 dolls are being sold every day. The traders are hoping that the number of sales will increase during Durga Puja.
