Siliguri, 11th June: The “Uttarbanga Ratna” Awards 2023 was organized by The Bengal Chamber Education Committee in a hotel located in Salugara on Saturday evening. In the event, individuals with valuable contributions in 6 different categories were awarded.
According to reports, the Bengal Chamber Education Committee honored Mantu Ghosh for sports, Rudra Chatterjee for business, St. Paul’s School for the development of the education system, Rita Sengupta for social, with regard to contributions in providing new direction to the society, and North Bengal Medical College and Hospital in the field of health.
Additionally, this time, the Bengal Chamber Education Committee also honored prominent writer, Late Samaresh Majumdar with ‘Uttarar Nakshatra Samman’. Apart from the awards, discussions were also held on education, society, and health and the prospects of its further development.
