Siliguri, 17th December: To highlight various development initiatives of the state government to the general public, the ‘Unnoyoner Panchali’ tableau campaign was launched in Siliguri on Wednesday.
The event was attended by Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb, Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, several councillors of the municipal corporation, and other officials.
Mayor Gautam Deb stated that the initiative aims to bring the benefits of the state government’s welfare schemes, such as Swasthya Sathi, Lakshmir Bhandar, Kanyashree, Sabooj Sathi, Khadya Sathi, and several others, closer to the people.
The ‘Unnoyoner Panchali’ tableau will traverse various areas of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation, including Dabgram, Fulbari, and several surrounding localities.
The campaign is scheduled to continue until 15th January. Mayor Deb emphasized that it is not enough to implement development projects; it is equally important to ensure that the message of these achievements reaches the public.
