Siliguri, 04th October: With the Durga Puja just around the corner, voluntary organization Siliguri Unique Social Welfare Society took the initiative to distribute new clothes among the needy at a cost of only Rs 2. Their vehicles are spotted in different parts of the city with a variety of garments for men, women, and children.
The said organization was seen to take this initiative in the previous year too. But last time the price of the clothes was fixed at Rs 5.
In this regard, organization member Rakesh Dutta said that a minimum price has been decided for the clothes to make the underprivileged feel that they too, like the rest of the society, are buying new things during Durga Puja.
