Siliguri, 02nd April: Siliguri’s Twelve Step Foundation has started a unique initiative by creating artificial nests for birds.
Reportedly, the organization has made bird nests from clay pots and hung them at the NJP Police Station. Currently, flocks of birds have lost their habitat due to deforestation, compelling them to take shelter by making nests in unusual places.
After seeing the displaced birds, the Twelve Step Foundation decided to initiate a campaign to build bird nests at various places in the city. The organization aims to continue the initiative at other locations in the future.
