Raiganj, 13th December: Death generally engulfs people into mourn and grief but a different approach was seen in Rajganj toward the last goodbye. On the death of a 111-year-old elderly in Patharghata village under Majhiali Gram Panchayat of Rajganj, her family members bid farewell to the old woman in a different way by dancing to music.
Nriputi Roy passed away at the age of 111. Tapan Roy, the son of the deceased said that his mother died not due to illness but old age. He further said that she loved to spend her time in bliss while she was alive and lived a great life. To celebrate the life she lived with love and bliss the family members carried out the funeral with music and fanfare.
Locals including family members participated in the last journey. Manik Roy, a relative of the said family, said that she lived a great life for 111 years and cited this as the reason for such a grand goodbye in the funeral.
