Kharibari, 07th April: Union Minister Smriti Irani addressed a public meeting at Kharibari High School ground in support of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) candidate Durga Murmu from the Phansidewa assembly constituency, on Wednesday.
While addressing the public meeting, Smriti Irani said that the people of Bengal will support the change of government this time, and BJP is working to fulfil the promises laid in the manifesto. She further claimed that the current West Bengal government has deprived the people of the schemes provided by the Central government.
Minister of Women and Child Development Smriti Irani promised of providing facilities to women, reservation in government jobs, formation of Rajbanshi Tourist Circuit, Baliya Yojana will be started, Ghar Laxmi Yojana will be started, education for girls will be free, daily minimum income of tea garden workers will be given Rs 350, land lease will be provided, AIIMS hospital will be built in North Bengal with the formation of the BJP government in West Bengal.
BJP candidate Durga Murmu, Siliguri Organizational District BJP President Praveen Agarwal, General Secretary Manoranjan Mandal, Yuva Morcha District President Kanchan Debnath, National Council Member Ganesh Debnath, Kalyan Kumar Prasad, Bholanath Siddha, Anil Roy and a large number of activists including Tarun Singh, Tapas Manjhi participated in the public meeting.
