Cooch Behar, 25th February: Sensation ensued after Union Minister Nisith Pramanik’s convoy was attacked and stone pelted at Dinhata Burirhat in Cooch Behar. An atmosphere of tension has built in the area due to the incident.
Reportedly, on Saturday the Union Minister attended a Jan Sampark program in Burirhat area of Dinhata. It is alleged that during this, TMC workers showed black flags at his convoy. Trinamool had earlier announced that wherever Nishith Pramanik would go, he would be shown a black flag.
A scuffle arose between the two sides regarding the incident. The police released tear gas shells to bring the situation under control.
