Siliguri, 24th November: An unidentified woman lost her life in a road accident in the Muraliganj Checkpost area of Phansidewa block. The incident has caused widespread shock in the locality.
According to reports, locals discovered the woman’s body lying by the roadside and immediately informed the Bidhannagar Police. Upon receiving the alert, the police rushed to the scene, recovered the body, and sent it for post-mortem to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital.
Preliminary investigations by the police suggest that the woman may have been struck by a vehicle, though the exact details are yet to be confirmed.
