Siliguri, 21st July: An unidentified body with a slit throat was recovered from a pond, on Wednesday morning. The incident created a stir in the Mahakal Pally area of Siliguri.
The locals notified the police after spotting the body of a man floating in a pond near a garage in Mahakal Pally. Upon receiving the news, the Panitanki outpost police reached the spot. An investigation has also been launched by the Detective Department.
Police primarily assumed that the man died 4-5 days ago. However, no injuries were found on the body. The body was sent to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.
