Bagdogra, 08th June: The lifeless body of an unidentified elderly woman was recovered this morning. The body was found lying in the verandah in front of Upper Bagdogra Gram Panchayat.
According to reports, Panchayat Pradhan, Sanjib Sinha reached the spot as soon as the news was received and informed the matter to Bagdogra Police Station. Subsequently, police reached the spot and recovered the body, and sent to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.
According to locals, the woman was a resident of the area. However, the identity of the deceased could not be ascertained.
