Fulbari, 06th June: In a tragic incident, the body of an unidentified individual was recovered from the Teesta Canal in the Putimari area near the Fulbari-Ambari State Highway of Fulbari-II Gram Panchayat on Thursday evening.
Local sources reported that the residents spotted the body floating in the Teesta Canal and immediately informed the Jalpaiguri police. The police officials arrived at the scene, recovered the body and transported it to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for a post-mortem examination. At present, the entire incident is under further police investigation.
