Fulbari, 25th September: Fire Department personnel recovered an unidentified body from the Teesta Canal near Fulbari. The identity of the deceased remains unknown.
According to reports, on Wednesday, local residents spotted a body floating in the Chobavita Teesta Canal, located near the Fulbari-Ambari State Highway. Authorities were promptly notified, and the NJP police station was informed.
Due to the body being located in the middle of the canal bridge, the Fulbari Fire Brigade was called for assistance. Later, fire personnel successfully recovered the body.
The police have sent the body to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for a post-mortem examination and have initiated an investigation into the incident.
