Siliguri, 07th January: A distressing incident surfaced where the deceased body of an unidentified elderly individual was recovered from the N.B.S.T.C. bus stand located at the Siliguri Junction.
As per reports, the locals spotted the deceased body lying on the area and immediately informed the N.B.S.T.C. management regarding the matter. Subsequently, the management reported the matter to the police station and the body was recovered and transported to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for a post-mortem examination.
The police are engaged in further investigation into identifying the deceased. Meanwhile, the locals claimed that the individual had been living in the area for the past three-four days and speculate cold weather to be the reason behind his death.
