Naxalbari, 26th December: The rampant drug trade in Kalua Jote, Totaram Jote, and Muslim Para of Naxalbari has raised serious concerns among local residents. With a growing number of youth allegedly falling prey to drug addiction, residents have submitted a memorandum to the Naxalbari police station, demanding immediate action against the drug dealers.
On Thursday, the memorandum was handed over to the police station, urging the arrest of those involved in the illegal trade. Mohammad Kalam, a local Panchayat member, stated that if no action is taken, a memorandum will be submitted to the IG in the coming days.
