Siliguri, 23rd August: The UCRC Darjeeling District Committee, during a press conference, announced to issue a memorandum to the Siliguri SDO on August 25 in support of multiple demands.
Addressing the media at the CITU office in Siliguri on Monday, Paresh Chandra Sarkar, secretary of the UCRC Darjeeling district committee, said that people living in the colony basti areas must be given their land lease. He alleged that the people are being deprived of government facilities due to the lack of proper documents.
Sarkar further said that a memorandum will be issued to the Siliguri SDO next Wednesday in support of 7-point demanding immediate end of harassment of common people over COVID vaccination. Organization district president Joy Chakraborty, district committee member Deepak Chandra Das, and other members were present at the press conference.
