Two youths die in tragic road accident in Kawakhali, Siliguri

Siliguri, 01st April: Two youths lost their lives in a tragic road accident while returning home after selling vegetables. The accident occurred in the Kawakhali area, near North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). The deceased have been identified as Sujay Biswas and Subhodeep Mandal, both residents of Jyoti Nagar in Phansidewa.


As per reports, the two had travelled to Siliguri on Tuesday morning by auto to sell vegetables, as they did every day. While returning home, their auto collided head-on with a container in Kawakhali, causing both of them to be thrown onto the road. The impact severely damaged the auto. Local residents rushed to the spot immediately after the accident.

Upon receiving the news, police from Kawakhali Traffic Outpost and Medical College Outpost arrived at the scene. One of the youths died on the spot, while the other was critically injured and taken to NBMCH, where doctors declared him dead.


Following the tragic incident, a wave of mourning spread in the Jyoti Nagar area of Phansidewa.
