Fulbari, 24th September: In a recent incident, two young men were caught red-handed while attempting to steal from a residence in Fulbari, causing a sensation in the area.
According to local sources, the incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon when the two men broke through the wall of a house in the Sipai Para area of Fulbari II Gram Panchayat. While attempting to escape with stolen items, they were apprehended by local residents, who tied them to a tree.
Police from the New Jalpaiguri (NJP) police station arrived on the scene and arrested the two youths, subsequently taking them to the police station for further investigation.
Locals expressed concerns about the rising thefts in the area, noting that many homes have been targeted recently. There is speculation that the arrested youths may be connected to these prior theft incidents. The police are currently investigating the matter.
