Two youths arrested for reaching BSF camp with fake appointment letters in Siliguri

Siliguri, 25th January: The Bhakti Nagar police have arrested two youths who attempted to gain employment at the Border Security Force (BSF) camp using fake appointment letters. The arrested youths, identified as Jitendra Singh and Ramu, are residents of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, respectively.


According to sources, Jitendra Singh and Ramu arrived at the Baikunthapur BSF camp with appointment letters for the position of constable. The letters were submitted to a BSF officer, who became suspicious upon reviewing them. The officer then initiated an investigation into the authenticity of the letters.

Further investigation revealed that the appointment letters were identical and fraudulent. The BSF officers immediately informed the Bhakti Nagar police station about the matter.


In response, the Bhakti Nagar police arrested both youths at the Baikunthapur BSF camp. On Saturday, the accused were presented in Jalpaiguri court. The police have indicated that they will seek police remand for further investigation into the incident.
