Siliguri, 15th April: In a joint operation of Bagdogra Police Station and SOG, two women peddlers were arrested with a large amount of drugs worth lakhs of rupees from Bagdogra’s Bihar More. The accused have been identified as Kamna Sarkar and Ritu Roy, residents of Cooch Behar and Matigara respectively.
The team, reportedly, received a tip regarding the duo reaching the said area intending to trade the drugs. Acting promptly, the officials launched an operation and nabbed the two women red-handed and recovered 281 grams of brown sugar from their possession. The accused will be produced in the Siliguri court on Sunday.
