Siliguri, 10th March: Two four-wheelers collided head-on on the Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Flyover in Siliguri on Monday. Both vehicles were damaged in the accident, though no injuries were reported.
According to sources, a government vehicle was heading towards the flyover from Hashmi Chowk. After climbing the flyover and moving some distance ahead, a four-wheeler coming from the opposite direction reportedly lost control and rammed into the government vehicle.
The impact damaged the front portions of both vehicles. Fortunately, there were no passengers in the vehicles at the time of the accident, and no casualties were reported.
On receiving information, officials from the Panitanki Traffic Guard and Siliguri Police reached the spot. The damaged vehicles were later recovered and taken to the police station.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
