Siliguri, 25th August: The NJP police have arrested two suspects in connection with a theft case. The accused, identified as Ayush Raut and Tapan Das, were taken into custody following an investigation.
Reports indicate that construction workers were storing various tools at a railway worker’s house under construction in Siliguri’s Pipeline area. Taking advantage of the situation, the thieves stole two drill machines, other equipment, and several copper wires from the site. Subsequently, a formal complaint was filed with the NJP police.
Following the complaint, the police conducted an investigation and arrested the accused duo on Saturday night. During interrogation, the stolen items were recovered from their possession. The two suspects were presented in the Jalpaiguri court on Sunday. At present, the police continue to investigate the case.
