Siliguri, 21st June: Two pythons have been rescued from separate locations in Siliguri within 24 hours.
Reportedly, on Friday morning, a seven-foot python was spotted in the bushes of a tree inside the Salugara BSF camp. Subsequently, BSF officials called snake rescuer Ravi Roy, who successfully captured the python after considerable effort.
Ravi Roy explained that pythons are roaming in search of food and cooler places due to the high temperatures.
In another incident on Thursday night, local residents spotted a six-foot python in the Ganga Mandir area, Samar Nagar, Battala. The python was subsequently rescued and handed over to the forest department with the help of the police.
